NULGE’s Call to Action: Women Told to Be Agents of Change
Share this:

The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) has urged female workers to make a meaningful impact in their respective areas of duty.

Lagos NULGE President, Mr Sunday Ogunforowa, advised the NULGE Women Summit, themed: ‘Gathering of the Amazons: Women in NULGE, the Pride of Unionism,’ held at Ojo Local Government Area on Tuesday.

Ogunforowa said being impactful required continuous learning and relearning, which made the summit a vital platform for women.

He urged participants to take advantage of the summit to gain knowledge and prepare themselves better for their roles.

He said the event aimed to fulfil NULGE’s promise to empower women through meaningful learning and capacity development.

Giving his goodwill message, Ojo Local Government Chairman, Mr Idowu Rosulu, urged female staff to apply the knowledge gained from the summit.

Rosulu commended the NULGE president’s commitment to female empowerment through the well-organised summit.

NULGE’s National Auditor, Rashidat Olukoga, described women as strong, beautiful, intelligent, and valuable—truly deserving of the title of Amazons.

Olukoga encouraged female workers to strive for excellence in all their tasks and responsibilities.
