NWOYE SALUTES THE RESILIENCE OF NIGERIAN WORKERS
Share this:

The Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District and Senate Minority Whip, Senator Dr. Tony Nwoye, has saluted the courage and resilience of Nigerian workers as the world marks International Workers’ Day 2026.

In his May Day message, Senator Nwoye expressed deep concern over the survival of Nigerian workers amid prevailing economic realities, including rising inflation, high cost of living, and job insecurity.

In Commemorating this year’s Workers’ Day, Senator Nwoye reaffirmed his unwavering advocacy for workers’ rights, fair wages, job security, and social justice, stressing that no nation can prosper while its workforce is neglected.

While acknowledging the invaluable contributions of Nigerian workers to national growth and development, he urged them to remain united, steadfast, and hopeful in the face of economic hardship.

“The Nigerian workers remains the engine room of our economy. Your sacrifice keeps hospitals running, classrooms open, markets busy, and government functional. Today, I salute your resilience. I stand with you in the demand for a living wage, safe workplaces, and a dignified retirement,” Senator Nwoye stated.

He extended warm wishes to all Nigerian workers for a meaningful and peaceful celebration, assuring them of his continued support in the Senate to advance pro-labour legislation.
