The Umueri Community in Anambra East Local Government Area played host to political leaders and party faithful as the Honorable Member Representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Hon. Peter Aniekwe (Macpee), led a high-powered delegation to the burial ceremony of the late Mrs. Margaret Nwauto Ndumanya.
The deceased, aged 86, was the stepmother of Chief Uchenna Ndumanya (Okwatulidike Umueri), Director-General of Senator Tony Nwoye’s Campaign Council. The burial attracted wide attendance from across the East of the Niger, reflecting the esteem in which the family and the late matriarch are held.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Ndumanya paid glowing tribute to the departed, describing her as a selfless mother whose love, guidance, and sacrifice left an indelible mark on his life. He noted that her nurturing spirit and unwavering support filled the void created by the loss of his biological mother.
Hon. Aniekwe, in his remarks, expressed deep sympathy to the Ndumanya family, noting that his presence was a demonstration of solidarity and respect for loyalty, commitment, and service. He prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased and asked God to grant the family the strength to bear the loss.
Finally, the event also witnessed a strong showing by political groups and community stakeholders, whose early arrival and orderly conduct contributed to the success of the ceremony. Overall, the burial was marked by dignity and warmth, standing as a fitting celebration of a life devoted to family and community.
