The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has passed the 2026 Appropriation Bill of ₦545.2 billion into law, increasing the initial budget presented by Gov. Abdullahi Sule by ₦27.6 billion. Speaker Danladi Jatau announced the passage during plenary, describing it as a major legislative milestone for the state.

The budget breakdown includes ₦316.26 billion for capital expenditure and ₦228.72 billion for recurrent expenditure. The increment was attributed to the current surge in inflation affecting project and service costs, with security-related votes receiving an additional ₦14 billion.

The House unanimously passed the bill, which will enable the government to initiate people-oriented projects for the overall development of Nasarawa State. Gov. Sule had presented the ₦517.5 billion proposal on November 26, tagged “Budget of Strategic Consolidation”.
