Yesterday, 1st July, 2025, Dr. Bello Matawalle, Honorable Minister of State Defence commissioned the first fleet of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles for the Armed Forces of Nigeria at the Mogadishu Cantonment, Abuja. This initiative marks a significant step towards enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and promoting sustainability within our military logistics.
He emphased during the inauguration that under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, the Nigerian military is embracing innovative, cost-effective, and environmentally conscious solutions. The introduction of CNG vehicles is in line with our strategic objectives to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and enhance energy security for the Armed Forces.
He promised that they will continue to ensure that the Armed Forces of Nigeria lead by example in achieving long-term energy sustainability and operational excellence.
