Constable Usman Mohammed Dismissed for Goat Theft

The Nigeria Police Force has dismissed a constable attached to the Taraba command for stealing a goat.

According to an official signal from the Commissioner of Police, DFA Jalingo, addressed to the Divisional Police Officer in Mutum Biyu, the officer, identified as PC Usman Mohammed, was attached to the Mutum Biyu Division.

The statement said the dismissal followed due disciplinary procedures and was approved in accordance with the Police Act and Regulation 370, Cap 389 of the 2010 Laws of the Federation, as amended.

The offence, categorised under paragraph ‘E’ of the First Schedule of the Police Act, led to the immediate termination of Mohammed’s appointment.
