The Honorable Member Representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Hon. Peter Udogalanya Aniekwe (Macpee), demonstrated purposeful and responsive representation by moving a strategic motion on the floor of the House of Representatives just four months after being sworn into office.
On 5 October 2023, Hon. Macpee sponsored the motion titled “Need to Rehabilitate the Otuocha–Anam–Nzam–Innoma–Iheaka–Ibaji–Ajegwu Federal Road in Anambra East and West Federal Constituency of Anambra State,” drawing national attention to one of the constituency’s most critical infrastructure challenges.
Importantly, beyond raising the motion, Hon. Macpee remained committed to seeing that it translated into tangible results. In collaboration with Senator Dr. Tony Nwoye, he consistently followed up on the resolution, engaging relevant authorities and advocating for prompt government intervention.
Today, that commitment is yielding visible results, as rehabilitation work is actively ongoing along the Otuocha–Nzam–Ajegwu–Ibaji Road, a testament to the power of effective representation, strategic legislative advocacy, and sustained follow-through.
Hon. Macpee’s approach demonstrates that true representation is not only about speaking on the floor of the House, but also about ensuring that legislative actions produce meaningful development and lasting benefits for the people.
