Hon. Peter Udeogalanya Aniekwe (Macpee), Member Representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, joined the people of Ifite-Anam Kingdom on Tuesday, March 7, 2026, to celebrate the coronation and maiden Ofala Festival of His Royal Highness, Igwe Sunday Udoji Ozoemena, Igwe Oranyelu I. The historic occasion marked the formal ascension of the monarch and his first Ofala outing, drawing dignitaries, traditional rulers, and sons and daughters of Anam from far and near.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Aniekwe congratulated the monarch, describing his emergence as a well-deserved honour and a significant step toward unity, progress, and purposeful leadership in Ifite-Anam. He noted that the large turnout and grandeur of the celebration reflected the deep cultural heritage and strong communal spirit of the Anam people.
The lawmaker also extended his felicitations to the Igwe-in-Council, stakeholders, and the entire community for a successful ceremony. He offered prayers for a peaceful and prosperous reign, emphasizing that vibrant traditional institutions remain key to preserving Igbo culture, sustaining peace, and driving grassroots development.
