30,000 Lives Lost Due to Nnamdi Kanu’s Agitation, Senator Kalu
Share this:

A former Abia State Governor and Senator, Orji Uzor Kalu, has attributed the killings of over 30,000 people in the South-East to the agitation led by Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Senator Kalu made the revelation while speaking on the floor of the Senate, stating that Kanu’s secessionist agenda has caused widespread destruction and loss of lives in the region.

“The agitation of Nnamdi Kanu has led to the killings of over 30,000 people in the South-East. The destruction of properties and infrastructure is unimaginable,” Senator Kalu said.

He called for a political solution to Kanu’s case, urging the Federal Government to engage with stakeholders to address the underlying issues fueling the agitation.

Kalu’s comments come amidst ongoing tensions in the South-East, with IPOB and other secessionist groups demanding an independent state of Biafra.

The Senator’s remarks have sparked reactions from IPOB supporters and sympathizers, who argue that Kanu’s agitation is a legitimate response to the marginalization and oppression of the Igbo people.

The Federal Government has been urged to address the root causes of the agitation and work towards a peaceful resolution to the crisis.
