The Governing Council of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Nasarawa State has approved the appointment of a new vice-chancellor for the University.
He is Professor Mohammed Isa Kida, the Dean of Faculty of Management Science.
Kida, an accountant, received his letter of appointment from the Chairman of the university’s Governing Council, Mrs Lola Fibisola Akande.
The letter stated that Kida’s appointment would last for a single tenure of five years starting from February 11, 2026.
The letter, issued by the chairman of the council, dated October 29, 2025, hoped that Kida would bring “his wealth of experience to bear on the growth and development of the University.”
Kida succeeds Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, who leaves office in February 2026.
