The Executive Chairman of Ika Local Government Area, Barr. Utibe Nwoko, on Monday decorated newly promoted Police Inspector Bisong, urging him to continue serving with diligence, discipline, and integrity.
The brief ceremony took place at the Ika LGA Secretariat, Urua Inyang, where the Council Boss officially adorned the officer with his new rank following his elevation from Sergeant to Inspector by the Nigeria Police Force.
Speaking, the Chairman described Inspector Bisong as a model officer whose service reflects the best ideals of the police force.
He emphasized that the promotion was not only a personal achievement for Bisong but a source of inspiration for the youth and a proud moment for the entire Ika Community.
“This promotion is a well-deserved reward for years of loyalty, discipline, and exceptional conduct. I urge you, to continue to uphold these values and serve with even greater diligence and commitment.” he said.
In his remarks, Inspector Bisong expressed gratitude to the police authorities, especially the Divisional Police Officer of Ika Division, as well as to the Council Chairman for the honour.
He pledged to redouble his efforts in ensuring peace and order in the area.
